How did it start?

Some businesses start with a business plan. Bespoke started with a memory.

Fabio grew up surrounded by people, food and celebration across Italy — between Sicily, Sardinia and Genoa — where family kitchens, regional traditions and shared meals shaped his understanding of hospitality from an early age. It was not something he learned later in life; it was simply how he was raised.
His own journey then took him to London and into some of Europe’s finest five-star hotels, where he refined his craft and spent years understanding what it truly means to make people feel looked after. From there, life brought him to Barcelona, where he met Daniela and added another meaningful chapter to both his personal and professional story.
In 2013 , Fabio brought that experience, warmth and European standard of hospitality to Sydney — and Bespoke Catering was born.

Daniela’s story is also deeply connected to food, family and hospitality. Her grandfather came from Salerno, in southern Italy, and later moved to Venezuela, where he carried with him the traditions of Italian cooking while adapting them to a new culture, new ingredients and a new way of life. Through him, Daniela grew up with an appreciation for food made with care, respect for good produce and the importance of making people feel welcome.

Her own journey eventually took her to Spain, where she met Fabio and a special connection was formed — one built on shared values, family, hospitality and the belief that food has the power to bring people together. That same warmth and understanding now form an important part of Bespoke, shaping the way Daniela connects with clients and helps create experiences that feel personal, thoughtful and genuinely cared for.

Years later, that same care runs through the entire Bespoke team. We understand that every event carries meaning, whether it is a celebration, a business meeting, a milestone or a quiet moment shared around a table. For us, hospitality is not just about delivering food and service; it is about noticing the details, supporting one another and making people feel genuinely looked after. It is this shared commitment to care, connection and going the extra mile that shapes the way we work with each other, and with every client who trusts us with their event.

Bespoke came to life with one purpose: to give Sydney clients a catering experience that felt different. Less "no worries, she'll be right" and more genuinely attentive, flexible and personal. Because Fabio had seen it done properly. He knew what it felt like when a catering team truly had your back and he knew how rare that was. So he built a team around that standard.More than a decade on, that's still what drives us. We've recreated family recipes for 200 guests. We've designed menus around brand identities and dietary needs that would make other caterers say no. We've turned blank event spaces into experiences people still talk about years later.
